Course structure & delivery
- 1 year (Full-Time) LLM in Legal Practice
-
The 1 year LLM in Legal Practice is considered full-time, as you will be learning on average 30-35 hours a week. We would recommend this course if you are able to be a full-time student or work part-time, and have recently studied your LLB or conversion course. This course is very intensive and if you are working full-time, you may find you don’t have sufficient time to fully prepare for the SQE Assessments.
The order of the modules is currently:
- Solicitors Legal Knowledge (SQE1 prep)
- 3 Transactional & Business Skills Modules
- Solicitors Legal Skills (SQE2 prep)
- Capstone Project (can be started earlier in the programme)
Please note, there are internal assessments that you need to pass to complete the LLM and there is an expectation that students continue on to the programme whether or not they sit or pass the SQE1 or SQE2 assessments at the recommended assessment point.
From August 2024, the College is looking at changing the number of Transactional & Business Skills Modules from three to two.
- 2 year (Part-Time) LLM in Legal Practice
