Webinar: Becoming a Solicitor, is it right for you?

Date: 2 November 2023

Time: 18:00 - 19:30

There are many career paths, but how do you know if the solicitor profession is for you? This webinar is for anyone at the early stage of thinking about becoming a solicitor, you might be an undergraduate or someone looking to change careers. We have brought together for you an expert panel of solicitors to guide you in this webinar:

  • Sophie Shaw: Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, founder of Law with Sophie
  • Sana Saddique: Family Law Solicitor and Founder of Lawyer Network CIC
  • Fiona Bledge: Module Leader at the College, and non-practising solicitor.

Together, they cover a range of legal journeys and career experiences, and are particularly passionate about guiding those from non-traditional and diverse backgrounds and experiences. Hosted by Alice Payne from the College, the panel will be asked questions about their day to day work, the good and the bad, the skills that they use and their own career journeys.

They will offer you advice and tips to help your progress your career. Lastly, you will be first to access the College's new guide: Becoming a Solicitor: Is it right for you? packed with guidance and support for those looking to decide their career path. There will be lots of times to ask questions too!
