NB: Only some candidates still have the choice of the LPC or SQE. For example, if you have started a law degree in England & Wales or a GDL, then both options are still available to you. You can check the SRA's website for more details.

Kathryn Newton

Programme Leader, The College of Legal Practice

Kathryn leads the Developing Legal Professionals Programme that incorporates the SQE Preparation Courses. She led the management and delivery of the Legal Practice Course\LLM in Legal Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University between 2013 and 2021. Prior to joining the academic world, she was a solicitor and partner at a regional firm, specialising in Family Law.

Sarah Taylor

Programme Leader, The College of Legal Practice

Sarah joined the College as Programme Leader from Manchester Metropolitan University where she was a LPC Programme Leader and senior lecturer for 16 years. Sarah is leading the delivery of the College's SQE2 preparation course. She previously worked as a solicitor at Eversheds and the Co-operative Insurance Society.
